Eligibility to use Movevia

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts in Canada to book services with Movevia. Example scenario: a renter arranging a move for a household must have authority to book moving services for that address or provide landlord authorization where required.

By using the service you confirm you are at least 18 years old. Minors may not create accounts or make bookings without parental or guardian approval and supervision.

Services must be used lawfully. Do not request transport of illegal goods, hazardous materials, or items restricted by law. Practical example: solvents labeled hazardous cannot be moved by our crew and must be disposed of according to local regulations.

Movevia operates in Canada and certain service areas in Ontario. If a booking originates outside our service area, we will notify you with alternative suggestions or decline the booking.

02

Account responsibilities

When you create an account with Movevia you agree to provide accurate information and keep it current. Case example: an inaccurate delivery address may result in scheduling conflicts and additional charges for re-delivery.

You are responsible for the accuracy of account information, including contact details and inventory. If an on-site estimate reveals additional items not listed, we will present an updated quote before proceeding.

Protect your account credentials. Notify Movevia immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend access to protect you while we contribute.

Accounts and bookings are non-transferable without prior written approval. If you need to transfer a booking, contact Movevia with details and the consent of both parties.

If you believe your account has been compromised, inform us at [email protected] and we will take steps to secure or temporarily suspend the account while we verify ownership.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, unlawful actions, or safety concerns. Example: repeated no-shows or abusive behavior toward staff can lead to suspension.

03

Service description

Movevia provides furniture moving services including pickup, transport, loading and unloading, and optional assembly/disassembly. Example workflow: on-site inventory, packing or padding fragile items, secure loading onto transport, transport via licensed vehicle, and placement at the destination.

Service details such as crew size, vehicle type, timing, and fees may change based on site conditions determined at the time of pickup. If scope changes, we will notify you and request approval for additional charges.

Service availability depends on location, vehicle access, and local regulations. Example: narrow staircases or restricted building access may require smaller crews or special equipment and affect scheduling.

04

Rules of conduct

Users must follow rules to ensure safety and fairness. These rules address conduct, prohibited items, and cooperation during moves.

  • Provide truthful information about inventory, access, and parking restrictions before the move.
  • Do not include hazardous materials, perishable goods, or illegal items in shipments.
  • Make sure walkways and entryways are clear; secure pets and children away from work areas.
  • Pay agreed fees and any additional charges for unforeseen complexity or time on site.
  • Treat Movevia personnel with respect; abusive behavior may result in service termination.
  • Allow Movevia staff to assess items that require disassembly and inform them of special handling needs.
  • Comply with building and property rules, including elevator reservations and loading zone permits.
05

User content

User content includes photos, inventory lists, reviews, and messages you provide. We use examples and case histories to improve service and training.

You retain ownership of content you submit. By uploading inventory photos or notes you confirm you have the rights to share them.

By submitting content you grant Movevia a non-exclusive license to use it for service provision, quality review, and internal training. For example, photos of packing technique may be used to develop better handling procedures.

You are responsible for content accuracy. Misleading or illegal content may be removed and could lead to booking cancellation.

If you request removal of your content, we will evaluate the request and remove or anonymize data where possible, subject to legal retention requirements.

06

Intellectual property

All website content, activity, and service materials of Movevia are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce our branding or documents without permission from Movevia at gvella.pro.

  • Do not copy, reproduce, or modify Movevia branding, logos, or website content without written consent.
  • Do not use Movevia activity in a manner that implies endorsement or affiliation without authorization.
  • Report suspected IP misuse to [email protected] with evidence and context.
07

Paid services and billing

Paid services include hourly moving, flat-rate moves, packing materials, and specialized handling. Pricing depends on crew size, distance, and complexity. Example case: a 2-hour local piano move will be priced differently than a full 4-hour apartment relocation.

Prices are provided in quotes or estimates. Estimates given online are preliminary; an on-site assessment may adjust final pricing. Extra charges may apply for stair carries, hoisting, long carries, or difficult access.

We accept major credit cards and authorized payment methods shown at checkout. A deposit may be required to secure booking. Final payment is due upon job completion unless otherwise arranged.

We do not currently offer subscription services. Any recurring or contractual arrangements will be described in a separate agreement.

Refunds for cancelled services are handled case-by-case. Example: if a scheduled crew is cancelled by Movevia due to vehicle issues, you will be offered rebooking or a refund of prepaid amounts for that booking.

Cancellation by the customer within the agreed cancellation window may incur a fee. If Movevia cancels due to safety, weather, or staffing issues, we will offer alternatives or refunds as appropriate.

Applicable taxes are added to invoices where required by Canadian law and provincial regulations.

Prices may be updated; active bookings will be honored at the quoted rate unless the scope changes and both parties agree to a revision.

Non-payment may result in collection activity or legal action. We may also decline future services until outstanding balances are resolved.

08

Disclaimer of liability

Movevia provides moving services with reasonable care and skill. We outline expectations and common scenarios to reduce misunderstandings. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or items that are not disclosed prior to handling.

09

Limitation of liability

Liability for loss or damage is limited to amounts consistent with applicable law and the service contract. For fragile or high-value items, declare and insure them separately. Case example: for an antique dresser, customers should declare value and consider additional insurance or special packing options.

10

Third-party services

Third-party vendors, such as storage facilities or subcontracted crews, may be used. Their separate terms apply. Movevia will disclose such arrangements when relevant to your booking.

11

Termination

Either party may terminate service agreements for material breach. Termination will be accompanied by a written notice describing the reasons and any required steps to complete or settle the engagement.

Upon termination, outstanding fees become due and Movevia may retain certain identifiable property until payment is resolved, subject to applicable law. We will provide an itemized statement of charges and remaining obligations.

12

Privacy

Our privacy practices are described in the Movevia Privacy Policy available at gvella.pro/privacy. We explain data collection, use, security measures, and how you can exercise rights regarding your personal information.

13

Communications

By creating an account or booking services, you consent to receive transactional communications by email, SMS, or phone for scheduling and service updates. Marketing communications will be sent only with consent and may be opted out.

14

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms and will post the revised version on gvella.pro with the effective date. Substantial changes will be communicated to active customers by email where feasible.

15

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada. Practical example: disputes related to service quality in Windsor, Ontario are subject to Ontario procedural rules.

16

Dispute resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes informally. If unresolved, parties may pursue mediation or small claims court according to the limits and procedures applicable in Ontario. Cases involving higher claims may require formal litigation under provincial rules.
